"Noisy" Rhysling (no other first name): Born in the Ozarks, he became a jetman second class for the Harriman Line. After being blinded, he became an itinerant musician, bumming rides on his former employer's ships to various planets on the pretext of his being a "distressed spacer." He continued hitchhiking even after the Harriman Line officially banned the practice. He died while trying to control a power room emergency in the Falcon.
