The biography says (p. 471) that Robert's first house with Ginny in Colorado Springs was at 1313 Cheyenne Blvd. You can find it and , and see it and .

I presume it is the same house as is at the bottom of page, with Ginny holding the cat.

I wonder if the current owner is aware who the former tenant was?

Thanks, Bill. I believe the bio said it was a rental. So, they were there how long? Two years, I'm guessing, until they completed the new house on Mesa Avenue.

Very interesting! I looked at it on Google Street View the other day and thought "It looks so small. Do I have the right place?" The area right across the road is still meadow and trees.

The Heinlein house was built in 1941, a small duplex of 736 sq ft. When Robert and Virginian lived there, the other side of the street was still undeveloped (see the photo of Bob next to the one of Ginny I linked to above). The houses there now were built in 1955, after the Heinleins move away. By conventional standards, they aren't very large either (1100 - 1200 sq ft), but these were standard middle class homes in the post-war era.
