I guess one of my favourite lines is the opening of the very first RAH book I ever read,Have Space suit will travel. " dad,I want to go to the moon" how can you not read on from that. |

Not my favorite, but the one most indelibly etched in my memory: Jubal to one of his staff: "You already smell like a Marseilles cat house; don't wheedle the lad for more stinkum." I was 13. I had just read Stranger. And this line came into my head and out my mouth as soon as I heard my mother express a wish, to one of her very proper friends, that my father would buy her some perfume. I didn't even know the meaning of the term "cat house." You can probably imagine the reaction this provoked. |
