Gene Szafran was the cover artist for the Signet Heinlein paperbacks in the mid-1970s, when I first discovered RAH.



While looking up something else, I discovered that he passed away earlier this year.

It seems like we've lost a number of top SF/Fantasy artists lately -- Frazetta, Jeffrey Catherine Jones, Al Williamson.
