Post Re: The Right Side of the Tracks
I have to say that Peter's contribution was what kept everyone else from going crazy -- he took on the organization and scheduling of all the programming bits. Three other people had taken a swat at it before he took it over -- including me. I had just realized that I was way overbooked when he took it on.

Post Re: The Right Side of the Tracks
Once I realized that I couldn't avoid being the Programming Chair, the first thing I did was get busy with Microsoft Access to represent programming as a relational database. I don't know how anyone could do the job without such a tool. By the time I was done I could see in an instance any conflicts for presenters and email them customized reports showing their engagements, and repurpose a report by room to be passed to Jim for the printed schedule.

At the moment I'm in the process of masking the data and creating a screencast demonstrating the capabilities of the database to forward to David Gerrold for possible auction to a worthy cause.

In the end, I found Heinlein is finite. Thus, finite analysis is needed.
