Traffic remains slow but steady - we ticked over our 4,000th post today. Nice.

According to the relevant post, the 3000th post was on July 24, so we're running about 500 posts a month here. And so little "filler" in all that.

The moderation policy here (rarely invoked) is to discourage - in advance, after the fact and through both warning and post-post action - the fribbilous faux socializing and me-toos that infest and destroy forums.

If we wanted a forum full of people exchanging virtual drinks and backrubs amid eyelash-fluttering bar chat and kute kat stories, I'd have named the place Callahan's #42.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, naturally.

We have, however, all been driven out of most prior Heinlein-related forums when Gresham's Law took hold and the interesting chat was snowed under by fribble. And the resistance of fribbilators to suggestions that maybe their chat-room blather is not welcome always leads to the quality contributors moving on and leaving behind the fluttering eyelashes and cat dander.

4000 posts. Not an eyelash flutter in sight. We're doing gooooood.

If I didn't have a real life, or what passes for one, I would do little but post on here. Alas...
