 Tropes is a mind-bogglingly comprehensive listing of tropes appearing in TV & other media. For example, a listing of the links to all the works discussed that they classify as Science Fiction, the page for Heinlein, and the one for Starship Troopers.
Each trope name is a link to its explanation. Within the explanation are links to related tropes. Text following the trope name explains (if necessary) its application in the show/film/book. Spoiler text is invisible until you click and drag over it to review white text on pale blue background. It's really a pretty amazing site.

In the end, I found Heinlein is finite. Thus, finite analysis is needed.
