Re: Tim Hildebrandt Pencil Drawing
Thanks for the info Bill ! The drawing style and subject matter closely resembles known pieces by the Hildebrandt Brothers- while my demise is not eminent, i wanted my sons/heirs to know what they're holding and some basic info about it. Your Torcon 2 info allows me to date this drawing. Wow ! it's almost 40 years old.
It's value? Well, like anything, it's worth what someone will pay for it...... Since Tim Hildebrandt passed on a few years back, I imagine it's value jumped beyond the $20 I paid for it in 2000. I'll certainly reference Ebay etc and hopefully arrive at an approximate value for this unique piece of art. I'd hazard perhaps a couple hundred bucks- I may be wrong - wouldn't be the first time
An interesting sidebar (while it doesn't apply to my particular work) is that Tim and Greg Hildebrandt collaborated on large pieces with one brothers style indistinguishable from the other's ! I find this amazing ! Not even a small variance between them. Their "hands" were identical. BTW Greg and Tim were twin brothers
Again, Thanks for the info Bill !
