it's only coincidence ( being it's Mother's day), but my favorite from RAH is <drum roll .........>

makes Mama happy, fixes lotsa small problems, and is rewarding for all ;)

I have a particular affinity for most of Sam's twisted aphorisms in Starman Jones. For some reason, not a one will come to mind right now.

I guess one of my favourite lines is the opening of the very first RAH book I ever read,Have Space suit will travel.

Not my favorite, but the one most indelibly etched in my memory:

Jubal to one of his staff: "You already smell like a Marseilles cat house; don't wheedle the lad for more stinkum."

I was 13. I had just read Stranger. And this line came into my head and out my mouth as soon as I heard my mother express a wish, to one of her very proper friends, that my father would buy her some perfume. I didn't even know the meaning of the term "cat house." You can probably imagine the reaction this provoked.
