Alana Miyeko Elizabeth Scott
... took her first breath at 14:14 in room LDR 7 of Victoria General Hospital. 7 lb 5.5 oz. Mother Grace did the whole stint sans drugs of any kind. Been feeding like crazy ever since.

Welcome to the world, Alana. Welcome to a new world, mom and dad.

Why yes, I can type one-handed...
Let's hear it for iphone internet tethering and the 3G network... exchanged video with relatives in the UK from the hospital bed.

Re: Alana Miyeko Elizabeth Scott
Home from the hospital.
I have a new respect for the strength of the human female. Normally my wife professes no physical prowess ("I can't unscrew this, can you?"). But during labor she was hanging on to me with a grip I could not break. This is the stuff of little old ladies lifting cars off children. Even more amazing, 24 hours after expending the energy of an Iron Man competitor, she was walking around and claiming to feel great. We are so much more than our press releases.

Congratulations, Peter!
Don't let anyone tell you she's spoiled; they all smell like that.
Start saving for the wedding *now*! And add another bathroom to the house.

Re: Alana Miyeko Elizabeth Scott
Many congratulations from this side of the "pond".
I used to love the early morning feed - that was "my" alone time with my babies (5am normally!) I let Teresa sleep and I spoiled my little ones with cuddles and milk!
Don is right about the bathroom! (I have 3 daughters & 1 bathroom - Ouch!)

Re: Alana Miyeko Elizabeth Scott
Peter and the missus- my belated congratulations- much going on in my household lately and i am late in my welcome to Alana.
Speaking from the position of having raised 5 kids, SLEEP WHEN YOU CAN also as our fav author said "Rub Her Feet"- the missus and Alana both !
I have discovered that raising a daughter is very much differnt from raising a son (or 4)- each poses very, very different challenges
Good Luck and may you all share a splendid future !
Nick
