Post Fiction that could have been Heinlein
Does anyone else have a book or story they misremembered as Heinlein?
For years, I thought that LIPIDLEGGIN' by F. Paul Wilson was Heinlein. Even though it was first published in 1978, and I should have known better by then, it felt so much like Heinlein that I kept expecting to find it in one of the short story collections.
I don't want to talk too much about it; hate to spoil a good story for those of you who haven't read it yet.
I'd be interested in fiction that others misremembered as canon. Probably some very good reads in that category. Anyone else have an example?

When I were a teenager there might have been an Andre Norton novel I confused with a Heinlein juvie; or the other way around. Otherwise, no.

There is no substitute. When I was a kid, I read a lot of science fiction short story anthologies, but do not recall ever confusing any of these stories for a Heinlein story. I might have, but don't remember ever doing it. Some were interesting, but I've mostly lost interest in non-Heinlein science fiction. I do enjoy Richard Morgan's stuff, but you would NEVER confuse him with Heinlein.

Perhaps I should risk spoiling the story, Lipidleggin', so that this thread makes more sense.
No, I don't need to do that, because I found it online:

....
Am I the only one who thinks that reads like a Heinlein?

Heinlein's writing style is unique to him. I've never mistaken a story by somebody else for a Heinlein.
