Re-reading
I was re-reading a lot of what Bill, Jim and Tim had to say about the scenes behind the Centennial, and I finally had to point something out:
Kansas City fandom has never, ever had a Fan Feud. No big upsets. No half-the-group-walks-out. No drama.
So when they were discussing the less savory habits that fans are reputed to possess, I kept boggling. Over and over, I just couldn't wrap my head around it.
And I doubt I ever will. Once upon a time the Republican convention was held here. A commentator from the coast sniped: "You sure don't have much to be proud of."
The local snapped back "Well we don't have anything to be ashamed about, either."
Nope. No feuds.

Re: Re-reading
Ah. I didn't mean to suggest that anyone was referring to us, and I apologize if that is what you got.
This is down here in community simply because I was referring back to a mention of fan feuds. I have been told over and over that they happen. I was just remarking that I've never seen one because I live in a Very Peculiar Place.
I think I'll hop up to the Centennial thread for the rest of my comment.
