That was true of most of us, unfortunately. I've worked some high-pressure jobs of various types, but I've never had anything like the three active days of the Centennial. I would literally walk 100 feet between the event office and some nearby destination like registration, the dealer room, etc., and be stopped ten times to deal with various issues, crises, well-wishers and the like. Endlessly. Every time I walked the open floors - and when I didn't, my phone and hotel com link rang continually. I have never been busier or moved faster on a continuous basis, ever. It was tremendously stressful, even after the initial financial issues were straightened out (and that was a speed bump and a half, folks!)... but damn it was fun, too. Even if I only saw glimpses of the cool things happening all around.
My avatar, by the way, is my big boy Dane in his usual posture. Infer something here about resting, letting sleeping dogs lie, etc.
