From the Hollywood Reporter today (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-v ... rks-943882): "The studio [Columbia] is not remaking the film but is said to be going back to the original Heinlein novel for an all-new take. No personnel from the 1997 film are involved." I still don't think there's any way to adapt Starship Troopers successfully, but that's just my opinion... |

Well, for me, this can be only good news, at least until the film is released. I was never pleased with the previous take as a reference to the novel. While I tend to agree with your thoughts, I can but hope that it turns out to be more faithful. |
