I shouldn't complain but---
I only discovered this forum recently and have gotten fanatastic results immediately, from extremely interesting coorespondents and fonts of information. My concern is I expected on going discussions of stories and alternative takes on existing ones. Maybe I got to the dance too late. I do go through older posts. My successful quest for David Palmer was a result of that. Being 66 years old I am not the oldest fan out there and maybe I am just looking to remember my youthful pursuits. I have always felt RAH was the largest single philosopher in my adult perspective. I have affection and respect for many writers, but no one ever gave me as much to think about as he did. I am in some ways glad I never met him in person. I would have been reduced to a melting gelatinous mass. He was truely worthy of "HERO WORSHIP". I have read stories of people who met him or knew him. He may not have been an OLYMPIAN GOD but he sure was one hell of a writer who gave me a lot of pleasure. They don't make them like that anymore! Once again thank you to the participants who have given time and efforts to bring this to at least this member of an appreciative public.

Indeed. The forum format, falling into disfavor as the blog rises triumphant over the wreckage of online discourse, permits conversations to persist over months and even years, with gaps of weeks or months between contributions.
Toss in a comment or addition to any thread you find here. The new post will be brought to every visitor's attention and it's not unusual for threads to persist for years, with clumps of discussion separated by long periods of quiet.
