And so? For every item of value, there are a hundred ways to steal it.
Just another stage in the wiki-whacking of the world. If IP rights are demolished, ALL information will be collaborative work written by whomever cares to take the (uncompensated) time to write it down.
Which will be "good enough," I guess. And certainly just as good as, if not better than the notion that expertise requiring time and effort to achieve should be compensated when shared. After all, everyone who can type is a master epic poet, right?

Yeah, that has certainly occurred to me. There's a good "if this goes on" story in there somewhere. I've toyed with the idea of writing it, even.
