Kemp has been making an a**hole of himself with regard to Heinlein for quite a long time. Much like Panshin, his intense hatred seems to trace to an imagined insult/rebuff in the early 1960s and he's never, ever forgiven Heinlein for being so mean.

Being a member of the club myself, I can understand the anger but not the drive to tear down everything he (they) can reach.
