I am Legend
Saw this on DVD a few weeks ago and was underwhelmed. I have rarely seen a more linear movie, which in retrospect is an odd comment considering the maze of twisty little flashbacks that pepper the film, but I view those as a desperate attempt to hide the fact that this is a very simple plot moving from A to B with only a few things happening in between.

Re: I am Legend
This was the third attempt to adapt the novel for a movie. The third time was definitely not the charm. I remember when I read the novel as a kid it scared the hell out of me. Sadly, the Vincent Price version from the early sixties was probably the best of the lot, followed by the lame Charleton Heston vehicle from the early seventies. This was the worst.

Re: I am Legend
They supposedly changed the ending from the original cut, after poor test showings, to the even more ridiculous ending that made it to theaters.
So much potential, soooo wasted.
I believe a sequel is in the planning stages. No, don't ask.

Eh, I prefer it to Omega Man. I'm happy to accept perfection, but am grateful for progess.
