This new rev of phpBB is spectactular at blocking the autobots that infested boards based on prior versions. I haven't had a single spambot posting or even bot account attempt yet.

But there is the human variety that has nothing better to do but go around to all the boards and register so they can post ads and schlock. We got one today.

I detected him, deleted his account and posts, looked up his origin, and blocked his IP address and username... before he even got offline.
