I have been rereading the biography with great pleasure (and going to all the footnotes this time) and took more notice of the "illumination" that RAH is supposed to have gotten form General Semantics: "...an emotion, an aesthetic-erotic-religious-flooded-with-light feeling and the sensation of things whirling around in the head as a whole new view of things reshuffles itself into new configurations, a new way to look at the world." And I say that's not poetic license, that's a factual description of something I myself have experienced. Is it the same for you, and however you experienced it, what set it off for you? |
