Re: Nazis on the Moon
I would enjoy a movie where some Nazis-in-hiding read Rocket Ship Galileo, realize Heinlein is on to something, steal a tissue sample from him and place 50 cloned babies around Germany in a deep plot to use these geniuses circa 1980 to take back over the world. Except that in the meantime the plotters find out that cussed-liberty-loving individualism is mostly genetic and the experiment is a disaster, then the 50 Heinlein clones find out about the plot (and each other), they band together and a whole bunch of Argentinian "war refugees" turn up dead.
I'd pay to see it!

Re: Nazis on the Moon
I've seen Iron Sky. It's a pretty broad comedy, almost slapstick in places, with a fair amount of undisguised political satire. The sense of humor is a bit odd to an American audience. The visual effects are first rate; the acting is okay. I enjoyed it but doubt I'd watch it again.
The premise may sound similar to the plot of Rocket Ship Galileo but it is really based on the Nazi UFO conspiracy theories that have abounded since shortly after WW II. An internet search for "Nazi UFO" or "Vril Society" will produce a wide selection of crackpot books and websites on the subject.

Re: Nazis on the Moon
I just saw it. I gather it was partly funded and written by fans. It shows. It veers between so-bad-it's-good and so-bad-it's-bad like a drunken sailor. If anything could be taken as evidence that writing by committee - especially a committee of fans - was a futile act, this would be it.
At times it's watchable. Probably more so than the all-CGI Starship Troopers sequel reviewed elsewhere.
