Io Shadowing Ganymede
A scene right out of Farmer in the Sky, captured last Sunday through an 11-inch Celestron telescope by an amateur astronomer in the Phillipines:
I was going to read the whole forum before starting to post, but couldn't resist this. Io is casting its shadow across Ganymede. More info on this can be found on .

In case anyone is interested in seeing some great animations of the various moons and planets in our solar system, is a great site for them. You can download these as Quicktime movies. is one of my favorites (click on the image at the upper right to download the movie).
