Seems like there are still a lot of important questions to be answered, like how does it work, but wouldn't it be amazingly cool if it did?

A friend compared it to cold fusion, and I can't disagree. I've been told that the NASA paper this article is based on is three years old and that nothing else has been published since then, which makes it even more suspect. Still, I am reluctant to give up hope since it would be a great leap in propulsion if it proved out. We really need something like that to make space travel practical.

Katie M. Palmer at Wired has on the EM Drive situation, although as often happens, the headline ("That NASA Warp Drive? Yeah, It’s Still Poppycock") is less even-handed than the story itself.

She gets quotes from the people I would have talked to, were I in her shoes, Marc Millis and Eric Davis.
