A quest for a woman
A brief request.
I am recalling from somewhere in Heinlein's works the image of a woman - I believe during a Howards meeting - that was reading or knitting during the meeting, but nobody took offense because it was recognized that she had the mental capacity to attend to the meeting and her other task without shorting either. My memory and a friend's both sat it was from "Methuselah's Children", but I'm not finding it - nor is a Google search turning up much.
Can anyone steer me toward this cameo?
Thanks
Gavin

Perhaps you are thinking of Mrs. Draper from Lost Legacy?

There's also a two-mental-track character like this near the end of Beyond This Horizon.

Grandma Wilkins is described as "tatting" (making lace) in "Project Nightmare" while she is doing her esper thing.

Thanks! I'll go look those up - I was hung up on it being in MC and couldn't let it go.
