Cosmopology wise we have been told, planets in a solar system cool from the farthest from the star first outside. Therefore life forms will occur on the outer most planets first. Does this hold true for galaxies also. If so we are far out in the "undeveloped suburbs".
As RAH told us in Stranger-- in our solar system the fourth planet and fifth X (not Jupiter) had a real nasty war a couple 100.000 years ago. Planet X was demolished, becoming the current asteroid belt. Well Mars was left uninhabitable and either refugees or remains of their penal colony upon earth was all that was left. (I AM NOT A RACIST!) Orientals are the currrent survivors of those events. Language wise their written is by pictograph concepts not indivual characters making words. Caucasians and negroes are from the same evolutionary base. The difference between a black african and a pale nordic person are due to tens of thosands of years time spent unclothed/clothed due to climate, in the sun. When culturely exposed to really "equal education opprtunities". there is no real gulf between Back & White. But Orientals have overcome all cultural deficits no matter how taxing or oppressing. Caucasians preceding the blacks successes are the Jews, Irish Italians, Slavs, Persians, Turks etc. eg look where China was and will be ( forget about the Japanese) They really kicked our ass and almost won except for a couple of MAJOR cultural errors. Number one being PEARL HARBOR--- which definately cost them the war. Thats another post.

Charles, when I read your posts I'm reminded of the famous admonition from Lazarus Long in the Notebooks in Time Enough for Love:

"What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore divine revelation, forget what 'the stars foretell,' avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable 'verdict of history'--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your single clue. Get the facts!"

I would never argue with LL.
My problem is WHO WRITES THE FACTS
Somebody ;) wrote the ANCIENT ROMANS said
-who watches the watchers
Robin Williams said " reality ,what a concept"
I say nothing is imposssible, only improbable.

Believe it or not next to SCI FI I love the comedy of life. But rants are not always welcomed as a satire of what we go through everyday. I will restrain my self in the future to interesting thoughtful discourse. I apologize for offending anyone. It won't happen again.

Is cosmopology like Monopoly? Do you get to wear a cool top hat?

The fundamental problem with Von Daniken and his stripe of thinker is not that they're wonderfully self-deluding, often seeing evidence of advanced technology where others just see a scrape in the ground, or overlooking the obvious in favor of the mysterious, but that they are deeply, eurocentric racist.

See, their snowy-white euro ancestors could build Athens and Rome and the great cathedrals because they were, well, you know, superior types... but those little brown and/or club-dragging people couldn't do the same thing in Mexico, Egypt, Peru, Indonesia, Salisbury without gods from the skies showing them how and/or lending them a few power tools.

Uh-huh.

My favorite V.D. quote is about some Mayan carvings showing dancing skeletons. "How could the Mayans have known about skeletons without x-rays?"
