Jack Vance autobiography
I just finished Jack Vance's little autobiography, "It's Me, Jack Vance" -- out from Subterranean Press. Nice little memoir, that provides a series of family and life events to someday hang a real biography on. I enjoyed it, although he doesn't speak much of writing at all -- and actively resists doing so -- and he carefully excises almost anything about his personal life with his wife. There are a few mentions of events with Frank Herbert and Poul Anderson, though. Lots of stuff about working in the Depression, and sailing. All in all, I enjoyed it.
