Denvention 3 Worldcon
The Worldcon, which begins next Wednesday in Denver, has quite a lot of programming devoted to Heinlein. The concom reminds us that he was the Guest of Honor at the first Denvention in 1941. Connie Willis will read Heinlein's GoH speech. Bill Patterson will be on a bunch of panels, as will a bunch of others I met in Kansas City last year. I've been asked to give my space suit talk again.
For the whole program, see the PDF at , or an uncorrected HTML version at

Re: Denvention 3 Worldcon
My understanding is that the concom didn't really take input from anyone on the Heinlein components of the con, even though RAH as "Ghost of Honor" is a major facet. It will be interesting to see if they actually advance the program any or just... well, give the crowd the same ol' same ol'.
(Really, guys... I think the crowd is ready for Heinlein 102 now...)

Re: Denvention 3 Worldcon
That's substantially correct -- I shoved a bunch of ideas at them back in February but they seem to have been ignored completely.
